Dick Gephardt Joins American Income Life Insurance Company Labor Advisory Board

American Income Life Insurance Company (AIL), a subsidiary of Torchmark Corporation (NYSE: TMK), announced today that Dick Gephardt, former Democratic Majority and Minority Leader in the U. S. House of Representatives for 14 years, has joined the American Income Life Labor Advisory Board. Mr. Gephardt will also serve as a consultant to AIL, assisting State General Agents. As a presidential candidate in the 2004 Democratic primaries, Mr. Gephardt was a favorite among union members even after he left the race last spring. He did not run for an eighth term in the House of Representatives in 2004.
